" how do you like to go up in the swing, Up in the air so blue? Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing Ever a child can do!" this stanza is telling us that being up in air gives small children a chance to see the world from a higher perspective; from greater angle. From the top of the view, the view of area and reach their dreams can feel limitless. It proposes that being on a swing giving children inspiration to believe that they can reach their highest heights, both figuratively and literally. However, the height of the children is limited by the length of the swing. while the children may feel like they can reach infinity and beyond, she/he is blissfully unaware of the limitation of his/her medium. In that case, being swing is the pleasantest thing a child can do because of their ignorance. " Till I look down on the garden green, Down on the roof so brown-- Up in the air I go flying again, Up in the air and down!" In this stanza, I can always related myself in this position. The writer uses imagery to create nostalgia within the readers.
