In the poem "The Swing" by Robert Louis Stevenson makes me feel like I am a kid again swinging in the park with my friends care free. "How do you like to go up in a swing, up in the air so blue? Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing Ever a child can do!" I believe Robert Louis Stevenson was trying to explain how a child can be so care free and not worry about a thing when they are swinging so high in the air, seeing the beautiful sky, trees, animals and everything so bright. When I was a child and swung up as high as I could, I felt like I was on top of the world and nothing really mattered on the ground all that really matter was having fun with my friends and being so high in the sky. As the poem comes to an end it says "Till I look down on the garden green, Down on the roof so brown- Up in the air I go flying again." The ending made me think and made me feel that once the swing was reaching back down to the garden grass, it was like reality hit me again. "Up in the air I go flying again" meaning being up so high seeing beautiful nature and feeling so care free is much better than being on the ground in reality. So up in the air i go again and keep going up and down to feel care free and not reality on the garden grass.
