After reading the poem “The Swing”, over and over various times, it struck memories to my mind that I had in my own childhood. I for one always enjoyed and looked forward to going on the swings after school was over, I just enjoyed the feeling of swinging back and forth, with my stomach flipping, creating exciting emotions. In the poem “The Swing” by Robert Louis Stevenson he says, “Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing Ever a child can do!” After reading this quote I learned that I could really relate to this poem. As a kid I really didn’t think there was really anything much better than going up higher and higher, swaying back and forth on a swing, it was just the most joyful thing that comes to mind from my personal childhood like I said earlier, and it’s most definitely something I will never forget doing.
