This book talks about a young girl who works along with her waitress mother to save money to buy a big comfy chair. There was a fire in their previous apartment that burned everything down. There neighbors and friends bought them furniture but nothing was as comfortable as this big comfy chair they longed for. The young girl wanted to get this chair for her mother because she deserved it for all her hard work. I loved this book very much because it related to me. Since I was little I always saved up my money to buy things for people that were important and special to me. This story showed me the value of saving and working hard for your goals. I would recommend this book to anyone.

I agree with Ingrid about the book because it teaches children how to be responsible yet loving to their parents. This book even talks about a community being able to help this young girl and her mother who have lost everything in a fire. Also, this book shows not to take everything for granted because everything in life isn't guaranteed. I can relate to this book to a certain degree because when my mom use to work at the World Trade Center, I would make sure that all the chores were done in the house by time my mom would get home she can go rest her feet. This book is a good read because it has a lot of relatable lessons that can make anyone feel right at home.
