Reading the book "Amelia Bedelia" over again made me feel like a kid again. Looking at this book from an adult point of view, it makes me think of how can Amelia Bedelia can be so clueless and clumsy for all the mistakes she is doing and not knowing what she did wrong. Amelia looks likes she's in her early 20s at least to be taking care of someone's house especially for a couple who is wealthy. This book showing how all females are ditzy and don't have a mind of their own which can be frightening. How can you take simple directions so literal? Is it because she doesn't have family members to teach her etiquette skills so she wont look so small minded. But other than that this book is very humorous and entertaining because she processed everything as child would when they are given directions.

I loved Amelia Bedelia books growing up. It taught me not to take things so seriously, and to just have fun with everything that you do. Life shouldn't only be serious all the time. For Amelia something so simple as "dressing a chicken" can be taken out of context. But if it wasn't for her simple minded ways I don't think the book would have been so humorous enjoyable.
