This story is so good, but so sad. In the beginning you feel bad for Wilbur. He is the runt and then the owner wants to kill him! Luckily his daughter talks him out of it. The next half of the story is nice when he meets friends like Charlotte. Wilbur starts off by not being confident because he's already so tiny. Charlotte calls him great names and allows him to build up his confidence. By the end the two of them are very close. But, then you go through another sad time. When Charlotte died. It is so sad because the whole time she is his best friend. I think it's so nice that Wilbur brought her eggs to the farm. Now when ever Wilbur is down he knows he will have a friend. This story teaches children that there are ups to down. I remember reading this when I was little. I got so sad, but was happy that he has friends forever.
