The poem "The Robber Bridegroom" was very interesting to me. It basically tells a story about women’s intuition. Wealth it was most important in the story. All he wanted for his daughter was wealth before anything and that’s what he did. Women were considered less than men. Which is shown throughout this story and that’s what caught my eye the most. To me men and women are equal. They are both capable of doing things the same. Especially during our time now. But back then you could have definitely said otherwise. Men would overrule women. Women would basically sit home and do all the house work while the men made all the money. Love didn’t matter to the father much it was all about the money. In my opinion she didn’t need him and would have been fine without him but the dad thought otherwise. Strength is what I would define her as for going through everything she did.
