This particular poem can relate to anyone, including myself. While reading this poem, I imagine going to the park with friends or even my parents and going on the swings. It was such a simple movement, yet, it created such a freeing feeling. "Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing Ever a child can do!" is a quote that stood out to me the most, because its true! Swinging forwards and backwards creates a mixture of feelings. The swing you makes creates a cool breeze softly hitting you, especially as you go higher and higher swinging your legs back and forth and the nervous yet funny sensation you get in your stomach as you go higher. As I mentioned before, its a simple movement, that, as the quote mentioned, creates the most pleasant feeling. As a child, one does not realize how freeing being on a swing really is, its a relaxing movement thats been familiar to us since we were born having parents or somebody create a "swaying" or "swinging" action to calm us if we're crying.
