In the poem The Lamb by William Blake, a specific quote stuck out in my mind. In the first stanza, “Little Lamb, who made thee? Dost thou know who made thee?” had a significant impact on myself because I think this is all about asking where you came from. These two questions make me think about where I come from. It makes me think about my heritage and the roots of my family of where we came from and how we got to where we are today. It also makes me think about who my biological parents are because I recall asking my parents about my biological parents numerous times on many occasions. This is why this impacted me. Being adopted allows these types of questions to be asked all the time because like in my situation, I do not know whom my birth parents are of even if they are still alive. This poem makes me wonder about them and if they are still wondering about me.
